New Year. New you? I can’t count how many versions of “new” I read and hear at the first of every year. I support shedding the negative and making life improvements, but change doesn’t make one new. It makes one changed. You know the saying, “Wherever you go, you take yourself with you.” I look at the beginning of a new year as a building block rather than as a clean slate. I don’t want to start over; I want to build upon my past. Sure, some blocks might have to be thrown out; the foundation might need extra reinforcement; and the exterior a new coat of paint. But, there’s no time like the present to spruce up your life.
